These attachments show the plants placed in containers some three week’s from potting on.

Last year the main problem was arctic winds from the North East, hence the polythene shield, which did not really stop it.

Consequently I had to move all the pots to a more sheltered condition before moving them all back again some weeks later.

A pain, but a prolonged icy wind can be much more damaging than ice and rain put together on young plants, which has the capability to destroy them completely.IMO.
