This is from a pot of bedding viola Etain obtainable (the plant that is ) from some of our linked suppliers of plants ,and a viola, which seems to delight owners.
From a plant bought before April almost anyone can achieve the same result.
My advice would be to keep potting into slightly larger pots each time, but do not use too much nitrogen feed. Tomato fertiliser would be good.
Just behind the flowers in the background can be seen the bronzy Irish Molly which a lot of growers rave about.
Some suppliers advise that Irish Molly is difficult to keep going ,but this is in my opinion a little harsh on the plant’s reputation.
