Not for the faint hearted

On examining my pots at about 8am( well after daybreak)I discovered this unwelcome visitor munching his way through a Fancy Pansy in a six inch half pot..

For the last couple of weeks have been disposing of approx twenty slugs early evening by torchlight from the ground near a spring.

They have been eating in the main plant  debris and not live plants .

Have not killed them, but have relocated them with a water barrier between them and my garden.

Extended they measure a good six inches or more, but I have never observed them in daylight before this morning.
