A few more fancy pansy, exhibition viola and show pansy

I am trying to show the “general public” who must buy millions of bedding pansies and violas the “heirloom cultivars” from whence they all started from some 300 years ago.

Certain traits can be identified by a “florist” in many of these offspring, but the garden centre bloom is a bit like comparing a mongrel to crufts best in show.

However I am biased towards the purity of colour, form and velvety texture of the blooms and not forgetting the perfume.

They are Bishops Gold, Mosseleys ideal and{Penelope.
